When washing bamboo chopsticks, consumers can soak them in hot water before washing them. After washing, they can be dried in the sun to disinfect and dry them;

   (3) If the bamboo chopsticks at home have become moldy, it is best to heat the bamboo chopsticks in a container, add some vinegar, and boil for about five minutes. This can remove the mold spots on the bamboo chopsticks to a certain extent.

   (2) Many consumers mistakenly believe that putting all the chopsticks under the faucet and rubbing them together can remove food residue. In fact, this is not the case. Putting a handful of chopsticks together and washing them will not completely remove the food residue trapped in the gaps between the chopsticks. Food residues and bacteria on different chopsticks are also prone to cross-infection, endangering human health.

   (3) The correct washing method should be: carefully wash the chopsticks with detergent, wait for the chopsticks to drain away, and then put them into the chopstick barrel. The structure of the chopstick barrel is also very important. In order to prevent the chopsticks from getting moldy, consumers should choose chopstick barrels that are hollow and do not accumulate water at the bottom, and clean and disinfect them frequently.
