Status quo of bamboo resources in China

"At present, our country's bamboo forest resources are dominated by moso bamboo forests. According to data, in 2020, my country's timber bamboo forests accounted for the largest planting area of the total bamboo forest resource structure, reaching 36%; followed by dual-purpose bamboo forests for bamboo shoots, ecological public welfare bamboo forests, and pulp bamboo forests. They accounted for 24%, 19% and 14% respectively; bamboo forests for bamboo shoots and scenic bamboo forests accounted for relatively small proportions, 6% and 1% respectively.”
