The focal bamboo tableware encompassed within this study comprises a diverse array of articles, such as bamboo chopsticks, bamboo bowls, bamboo plates, bamboo knives, bamboo forks, bamboo table mats, bamboo seasoning containers, bamboo cutting boards, bamboo knife holders, bamboo bowl stands, bamboo seasoning racks, bamboo toothpicks, toothpick boxes, and various other products.

(2) Certification in the Bamboo Tableware Industry

Currently, the certification process for bamboo tableware products primarily revolves around meticulous scrutiny of product quality, environmental sustainability, and safety, among other critical facets. These products have garnered esteemed certifications from pertinent countries, serving as a robust guarantee for their export trade. Presented herewith are select representative certification types.

(3) Pertinent Regulations on the Production and Export Trade in the Bamboo Tableware Industry

On July 30, 2008, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation jointly issued the "Notice on Adjusting the Export Tax Refund Rates of Certain Commodities, including Textiles and Clothing." Commencing from August 1, there was a revision in the export tax rebate rate for several commodities, and this also extended to other bamboo disposable chopsticks under the customs commodity code 4419003290. The previous rate of 5% (implemented from July 1, 2007) was augmented to 11%. This measure aimed to mitigate, to a certain extent, the pressures stemming from the appreciation of the Renminbi and the escalation of labor costs.
