Ten major events in China's bamboo industry in 2022

1. President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the 25th Anniversary of the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization and the 2nd World Bamboo and Rattan Conference. 

2. The initiative of "replacing plastic with bamboo" was included in the list of outcomes of the Global Development High-Level Dialogue.

3. Chinese bamboo products will appear in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the 2022 World Horticultural Exposition in Almere, the Netherlands.

4. Our country and local governments have successively issued a series of policies and measures for the bamboo industry.

5. "Standard System for Bamboo and Rattan Field" and two international standards for bamboo industry released.

6. Three scientific research projects in the field of bamboo and rattan passed the comprehensive performance evaluation of the Ministry of Science and Technology and launched the "14th Five-Year Plan" national key research and development projects.

7. Bamboo winding composite material technology is included in the national "14th Five-Year Plan" bio-economy development plan.

8. Xiao Qiang, the "Gold Medal Worker" of Bamboo Industry, won the "National May 1st Labor Medal".

9. The first batch of ten categories of carbon footprint carbon labels for bamboo products were released in Anji.

10. Eight bamboo industrial parks have been identified as national forestry industry demonstration parks.
