By 2025, the total Output Value of the National Bamboo Industry will Exceed 700 Billion Yuan

The reporter learned from the Second World Bamboo and Rattan Conference being held in Beijing that the total output value of my country's bamboo industry is close to 320 billion yuan, and the bamboo industry is changing from high-speed development to high-quality development.

The total import and export trade of bamboo products exceeds 2.2 billion US dollars, accounting for more than 60% of the total import and export trade of bamboo products in the world. It has formed a development system from resource cultivation, processing and utilization, technology research and development to domestic and foreign trade.

Chen Ruiguo, Deputy Director of the International Bamboo and Rattan Center of the National Forestry and Grass Administration: Bamboo resources are mainly distributed in the hilly and mountainous areas of southern my country. According to statistics, the rural population benefiting from bamboo resources is nearly 50 million. They are related to the subsequent processing, production and circulation of bamboo industry ( people) also has a population of about 30 million, and the income from the bamboo industry in bamboo production areas accounts for more than 20% of the disposable income of farmers.
